Another key driver is accessibility with 33% of respondents stating this as a key reason for moving to the cloud.

In the early hours of Friday 9th September, millions of Microsoft users were left unable to access online information for over 2 hours due to an unexpected service failure with their cloud based DNS system.

This obviously raised questions surrounding the security and reliability of web based systems hosted in the cloud.
